Your Lucky Day Slot

Well this is a first for me. I genuinely cannot remember having played this one before – but I needed a ‘Y’ and there it was looking at me.

If I have played it, it will be at 4am some Godforesaken morning when I had decided I had to play every single slot the casino had to offer… actually there are vague recollections to do with this one but I can’t be particularly specific… don’t think I spent long on it if I did at all!

However! Having just played for a good while for you lovely people, I don’t know why I missed it out so much (maybe because it’s on the very last page of slots on the casino!), it’s got 3 whole Bonus features and I’m a complete sucker for those!

Your Lucky Day is a 5-reel, 20 line, 3 visible symbol slot, nothing surprising there. Payline wins don’t seem all that terrible in normal game play so you can enjoy this one without the Bonuses to a point. The background music is very gameshowey and the whole premise of the slot seems to be “You’re in a gameshow and it’s your lucky day”, rather like Fumi’s Fortune but without the Japanese flavour and scary 3D people running around your screen!

Ok so to these great Bonuses. Get a lady on reels 1 and 5, and you’re in the High-Low Bonus Game. Remember Bruce Forsyth and his ‘Play your cards right’ gameshow? No, well you don’t need to because it’s a pretty simple idea. Basically, you have to choose whether your next card is going to be higher or lower than the one shown. If you get it right, you move on to the next card, which you have to guess is either higher or lower than the one you just pulled out. You get 4 cards drawn in total, if you get that far. Each correctly guessed card gives you a win, which stacks up if you get all 4. If the next card is the same number as your previous one, it still pays out, so not completely unfair!

On your 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th correctly guessed cards you get 5x, 10x, 15x and 25x your bet respectively. But that’s not it – there’s also a ‘Poker Bonus’ which takes into account the first card (which was already drawn when you entered the bonus), so that if your 5 cards produce a poker hand of one pair, two pairs, 3 of a kind, straight or Flush (or better), you get 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x and 40x your bet on top of the previous winnings. Excellent fun! In the time I was playing this, I got into the bonus twice – but didn’t get a screenshot in time the first time… I managed ‘two pairs’ in that one so the poker bonus does seem to come into play.

The second bonus is called ‘Lucky Money’. Simple and straight forward, you are presented with 18 green boxes with a $ sign on them. Choose two and that’s your win – the first is an amount of coins and the second is a multiplier. In the game I had, I revealed 6000 coins and x4, which is a great win of 24,000 on a 400 coin spin – actually I think that’s the most I could get, as it says the max payout is 60x bet.

Thirdly but not leastly are the free spins. There’s a Free Spins symbol on reels 2, 3 and 4 – if you get all three, you are awarded 10 free spins at x2 multiplier. A nice addition to an already feature filled game.

Given the Free Spin symbols are on those reels and the other two bonus symbols are on reels 1 and 5, I believe you could score free spins and another bonus in the same spin, which presumably will be played out in whichever order it deems right.

All in all I’ve enjoyed this one. It seems to have stood the test of time (it’s clearly been there a while!), and is perfectly enjoyable! If you like the ‘gameshow’ type theme given to these slots or just reminisce to the innocent days of ‘The Price is Right’ and so on, then give this one a spin and see what you think!
